How we work

Kagels Trading publishes market forecasts and articles on trading. This page explains who writes them, how they are checked, and what you can and cannot expect from them.

Who writes

Every article names its author. Our authors trade themselves: Karsten Kagels has been in the markets since 1980, and Christian Möhrer has traded options since 2014. You can read more about each person on the About page.

Review

Many articles are checked by a second person from the team: facts, prices, dates and whether the conclusion follows from the chart. When an article has been reviewed, the reviewer is named at the top of the article and in the author box.

How the forecasts are made

Each market has one forecast page that we keep up to date, instead of a new article every month. The analysis starts on the long-term charts and works down to the daily and intraday charts. Support and resistance are named at exact prices, and both the bullish and the bearish case are described.

Every forecast shows the date and time of the analysis and the price at that moment, so you can check it afterwards against what the market did.

Translations from German

Since 2015 we have published in German on kagels-trading.de. Many English pages are translations of these articles. Each translated page links to its German original. Some screenshots still show German labels; captions and descriptions are in English.

We translate with the help of AI. Prices, dates and price levels are checked against the German original. The analysis itself, with its levels, scenarios and conclusions, comes from our team, not from AI.

Products and independence

This site contains no affiliate links: we link to brokers and tools directly. When we use a product ourselves, we say so in the article.

No investment advice

Our forecasts and articles are market analysis and education, not investment advice. They describe the most likely scenarios from our point of view, not certainties. Trading involves risk; decide on position sizes with your own risk management.

Updates and corrections

Articles show when they were published and when they were last updated. If you find a mistake, please write to support@kagels-trading.com. We check every report and correct the article if needed.
